-That constant sobbing sound you hear today is probably from Andrew Bynum owners. The Lakers center will miss the next 8 weeks because of a dislocated knee cap, halting the 20-year-old’s breakout season. Bynum is averaging 13.1 ppg, 10.2 rpg and shooting an astonishing 63.6 percent from the field this year.

-Ron Artest is exhibiting Wolverine-like healing powers. The Kings forward says he hopes to return on Wednesday along with fellow King Mike Bibby, a week or two earlier than Artest was originally expected to come back. This is bad news for John Salmons and Francisco Garcia’s fantasy value, a shame since both have played so well.

-The personal medical issue with Nene has been revealed on his website. The Nuggets big man had a tumor removed, but it was not reported on if it was cancerous or where it was located.

-Starbury will miss at least the next two games, and possible more if surgery is required on his left ankle. What I’m saying here is pick up Nate Robinson if he’s available. Robinson is already outplaying Starbury and will help your team in points, three’s and assists.

-The Chargers are having problems with knee injuries. Phillip Rivers is questionable with a knee sprain while LDT is suffering from a hyper-extended knee. If it were the regular season they would both be iffy, but because of the magnitude of Sunday’s game there is little doubt they will both play.

-Yet another underclassmen has declared for the NFL draft, this time it’s Michigan’s Mario Manningham. Manningham might be a first-round pick, but it’s too early to speculate on his fantasy prospects.
