-The Tom Brady walking boot mystery was unraveled yesterday. Turns out the Pats QB just has an ankle sprain and will be 100 percent for the Super Bowl. Odd that the media would make a big deal out of nothing, isn’t it?
-Shaq is out again for the Heat, this time he will miss at least six games. The Big Aristotle, who only played four games since returning from his last injury, is averaging a career-low 14.2 ppg this year. Mark Blount will start in his absence, and in six starts this year Blount has averaged 14.2 ppg and 4.8 rpg, making him a worthwhile pickup for the next couple of weeks.
-Carmelo Anthony will likely miss tonight’s game because of an ankle sprain. It doesn’t appear to be that serious, though, and the Nuggets forward should return soon enough.
-The report has been floating around, but yesterday the Nuggets confirmed that Nene’s tumor was malignant. He’s out for at least two months, meaning a regular season return is doubtful.
-Grant Hill returned last night and should be a regular fantasy starter once again. He only played 27 minutes, scoring 8 points and dishing out 3 assists, but Hill said after the game, “my legs weren’t great, but my rhythm will come back by the end of the roadtrip.”
-Stephon Marbury has undergone ankle surgery and is out indefinitely. Pick up Nate Robinson if you haven’t already, he’s the main beneficiary of Starbury’s absence.
-Gerald Wallace is suffering through a strained left calf and is questionable for the Bobcats game tonight against the Mavs. It doesn’t look like he’ll miss an extended period of time, so there isn’t too much to worry about.
-Randy Foye is getting closer to returning, scrimmaging for the first time since his knee injury suffered in October. We’ll keep you updated.
-Courtesy of Brock for Broglio, here’s 101 Fantasy Baseball Team Names. Couple of good ones on the list, and it gets everyone here at FSR pumped for the beginning of fantasy baseball.
