-According to this ESPN report, Chris Webber declined an offer from the Los Angeles Lakers last week and is likely to be rejoined with the Golden State Warriors and his first head coach, Don Nelson.
-Yao Ming sat out the Rockets game on Sunday with the Jazz because of an upper respiratory infection, the first game he’s missed this year. Doesn’t seem very serious and he should return to action soon.
-Anderson Varejao will have an MRI on his ankle today after awkwardly landing on Sasha Vujacic in the third quarter of Sunday’s game. Varejao doesn’t score enough to be worthy of a spot on your fantasy roster, but his absence means increased minutes for Zydrus Ilgauskas and Drew Gooden.
-More on the injury news we reported yesterday, it looks like both Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Garnett will miss their next games.
-How many more trade deadlines will Jason Kidd go through being heavily involved in trade rumors and only to not get traded. Maybe none.
-Looks like the Mariners are going to win the Erik Bedard sweepstakes. Bedard in a pitcher-friendly park like Seattle’s certainly means his fantasy stock will rise, putting him in the top 10 rounds, probably closer to round 5.
