-Chris Webber told ESPN he will officially join the Golden State Warriors today. He averaged 11.2 ppg and 7.2 rpg last year, so he’s possibly a third center for your fantasy team. Also keep an eye on what, if any, effect this will have on Andris Biedrins and Al Harrington. Don Nelson has had a very inconsistent rotation this year, so I would wait a couple of weeks before deciding what impact this signing really has.

-As we discussed yesterday, this year looks like the year Jason Kidd will be traded. Kidd confirmed that his agent has been discussing the possibility of trading the All-Star with Nets management according to ESPN’s Ric Bucher. We’ll analyze a possible Kidd trade when we know more, but it’s likely to have massive fantasy impact.

-Carmelo Anthony was unable to play last night because of a sprained ankle, and he said he is day-to-day. The Nuggets next game is on Wednesday in Memphis.

-Ben Gordon told the Chicago Sun-Times in reference to his injured wrist, “‘I was able to do a little bit more ballhandling and [took] close layups. I still can’t really shoot with it. I want to come back when it’s 100 percent so I don’t have to worry about it in the back of my mind. Every day I’m just trying to get better with treatment.” It doesn’t sound so good, but Gordon still may play against the T-Wolves tonight.

-The Mavs Devin Harris will be out 2-3 weeks with a bone bruise on his left ankle. Jerry Stackhouse is out also, so Jason Terry will be seeing a lot of playing time.

-No word yet on exactly how bad Anderson Varejao sprained ankle is, but it doesn’t look good. The Cavs forward has left the team’s road trip to have more tests done. Again, it’s a good time to be a Drew Gooden owner.

-Pedro Feliz signed a two-year contract with the Philadelphia Phillies yesterday, presumably becoming their starting third baseman. Feliz has 20 or more homers in four straight years, but unless he can get his average above his career .252 mark, he’s of little fantasy value.

-Buster Olney says that we will soon know what team Johan Santana will play for in 2008. This isn’t of huge fantasy importance–Santana will be dominant wherever he goes.
